Plaid Friday

Plaid Friday, held every Friday after Thanksgiving, is the relaxing and enjoyable alternative to the big box and chain stores’ “Black Friday” and is designed to promote local and independently owned businesses during the holidays.

The name Plaid Friday originated from the idea of weaving the individual threads of small businesses together to create a strong fabric that celebrates the diversity and creativity of independent businesses.

This year we’ll be celebrating all day by wearing our plaid attire, and we want you to get into the spirit, too, by wearing plaid.  With a purchase at one of  our participating stores and by saying, “I’m here to support Plaid Friday!” we’ll give you a locally-made plaid scarf (while supplies last, and scarf colors will vary), which has a retail value of $7.50.  The tag on the scarf reads, “Ragged Mountain, made in Intervale, NH,” showing that your gift was made and purchased at a small New Hampshire business.

Please plan to visit us during this fun event and help to support our area’s small, independent and diverse retailers!  Click here for more information on our participating stores.
