About Fields of Ambrosia:
Mission & Philosophy:
Fields of Ambrosia was developed in 2001 in response to a search for cleansing, nourishing and therapeutic skin and body care products - beneficial to the body and earth friendly. In researching natural soap making and aromatherapy, I recognized that many of the ingredients for creating these items could be found in the gardens, orchards and fields around my home at Intervale Farm.
Natural plant and vegetable-based oils, distilled spring water, Vitamins C & E, Green Tea & Blueberry Extracts, Atlantic Sea Salts, and pure Essential Oils are just some of the ingredients in our products. We also use many herbs and flowers grown in our own gardens at Intervale Farm in Bartlett, NH. All formulas are tested, on willing family and friends. These products are free from petroleum and animal derivatives and they are handcrafted and packaged in the USA in North Conway, NH. The packaging is assembled from recycled glass, plastic, paper and cork. A portion of all sales is donated to Jens Friends Cancer Foundation, in the memory of Karen Marie Jasien, 1956-2001 and Mary Porter Savard, 1928-1998.
The consumer who buys from Fields of Ambrosia knows they are taking extra care of their physical body, gaining peace of mind in giving back to the earth instead of taking away and satisfying their soul with the knowledge of helping families touched by cancer.
We are members in good standing of the following Artisan Associations:
· 2001- Indie Business Network: Launched in 2000, Indie Business Network is the first trade organization serving manufacturers of handmade soaps, cosmetics, candles, artisan perfumes, aromatherapy products, jewelry, baked goods, confections and other artisanal consumer products. www.indiebusinessnetwork.com
· 2001- The Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild: Originally created as The Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild, the association was formed in 1998. Membership in the association was initially restricted to those who made handcrafted soap or provided products or services for soapmakers. In February, 2013, the membership voted to expand the scope of the association to include those handcrafted cosmetics and to change the name of the association to The Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild. www.soapguild.org
· 2001- NH Made: A non-profit membership organization for small producers of New Hampshire products and services to pool their resources and work collaboratively to differentiate themselves in the marketplace and expand their marketing and selling opportunities. www.nhmade.com
We originally started the company out of our home in Intervale, moving from the kitchen to a studio in the old barn to a small retail storefront on Seavey Street to our current location on Main Street in North Conway. We have expanded our product lines from the first Bath & Body Collections and Rural Remedies Collection to 3 Brands under the umbrella of the original company. RENAISSANCE MAN (Est. 2009), our men’s collection of products, AROMA (Est. 2012) our Custom Fragrance Service and COLOR (Est. 2015) the handcrafted Mineral Makeup line.
RENAISSANCE MAN, is a line of grooming and personal care products created exclusively for men. Shower gels, soaps, deodorants and colognes as well as a full complement of shaving products and accessories. Preshave oils, Aftershaves, shave soaps and creams, quality German razors and Straight Edge Blades, English Badger Shaving Brushes and porcelain shave soap bowls are in stock for men who choose wet shaving over all else. We also stock specialty items including Beard Oils, Moustache Waxes and fine tooth facial hair combs and custom shaving brushes created by an artisan in Colorado just for Renaissance Man.
AROMA, was created to fill a void in our standard line of products. We had continual requests for specialty fragrances and perfumes, so we opened our Aroma Bar to create Custom Fragrances and products for our customers. We use only pure essential oils and perfume oils, plant & vegetable oils and Perfumer’s Alcohol to create these signature scents.
COLOR, was inspired by our love of creating natural and organic products here at Fields of Ambrosia. Our niece and partner, Emily Kump, is the innovator and colorist behind our line of products. A true fan of makeup throughout high school and into her 20’s, she soon realized that many of her favorite products had ingredients that were less than desirable. Wanting simple, natural makeup that she and many friends were looking for, we began to brainstorm and COLOR was born. Emily set out on her own path to create something of substance and trustworthiness that women of all ages could enjoy: natural, high-quality pure minerals, micas and inorganic colorants from nature. Free of irritants, preservatives and toxins. All of our ingredients are approved for use in cosmetics in the U.S., E.U. and Japan. The COLOR line of cosmetics includes Mascaras & Eye Liners, Eye Shadows, Lipsticks, Blushes, Foundation Powders, Tinted Moisturizers and Concealers.
